Our Story

Our family business run by me, Mattia, and my wife, Hannah, first started in 2022 as a stand at the Broad Street Market in Harrisburg just a few weeks after the birth of our son. Before arriving in America, I worked in a variety of kitchens and cuisines in Italy, London, Barcelona, and Austria which have influenced me as a chef.

Coming from central Italy, not far from Rome, and my wife, an American with a passion for Italian cuisine and culture, together we decided to bring together my past international culinary experience with the real authentic Italian style we were missing.

We offer a variety of authentic dishes from straight from our Italian kitchen like Roma style pizza and classic carbonara pasta, as well as our favorite sweets like gelato and tiramisù. Our specialty, tiramisù, we will offer in a variety of unique flavors in addition to the classic tiramisù, known as the world's most famous dessert.

Our Roma style pizza differs from typical pizza in the US because of the high hydration level of the dough. (Hydration refers to the ratio of water to flour. The higher hydration, the lighter and airier the dough and crust. The lower the hydration, the more dry and dense the dough.) The hydration level for pizza in Rome typically ranges from 70-75% or higher, compared to most US pizza doughs only requiring about 50% hydration.

In addition to quality dough, our pizzas are made with imported Italian cured meats and other gourmet topping combinations that best represent Italy.
